Well, well, well, looks like folks is askin’ ’bout that new NCAA 25 game, specially about this thing they call “Mascot Mode.” Now, I ain’t no expert on these fancy new video games, but I do know a thing or two ’bout what’s goin’ on in this new game, so let me tell ya, it ain’t lookin’ too good for the mascot lovers out there.
You see, this “Mascot Mode” thing, it used to be real popular in them old NCAA Football games. Back in the day, you could take the team’s mascot and play with ’em like you was the one in that funny costume, runnin’ around the field. And lemme tell ya, it was a real hoot! Fans loved it. Who didn’t enjoy playin’ as Big Al or other funny mascots? I sure did. I mean, it was the kind of thing that gave folks a good laugh, especially if you didn’t want to take things too serious. It was fun, silly, and a real good time.
But now, with this NCAA 25, I gotta tell ya, that Mascot Mode ain’t in there. I reckon the folks at EA Sports thought it wasn’t necessary no more. They’ve added all them fancy new features and modes—things that probably make the game look real pretty and all—but they left out that mode where you get to run around as a mascot. Guess they figured folks wanted more of them “serious” game modes, like Dynasty and Ultimate Team, instead of clownin’ around with Big Al.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ them new modes ain’t fun, I’m sure some folks will enjoy ’em. But for those of us who just wanted to mess around and have a laugh, it’s a bit of a disappointment. Some fans of the old games, especially those who loved that Mascot Mode, might be feelin’ a little sad. It was a mode that didn’t take things too seriously, let you have a good ol’ time, and maybe that’s what made it special.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I ain’t sayin’ the whole game is ruined or nothin’. There’s still plenty of stuff to do in NCAA 25. You got your Team Builder, where you can make your own teams and design their uniforms and stadiums. That’s somethin’ that sounds like a good bit of fun if you ask me. Plus, the game’s available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so them fancy consoles should make it look real nice. But Mascot Mode? Nah, it’s been left behind, folks.
And, well, that’s just the way it is now. You can’t always get what you want, I guess. But hey, for the people who liked to play as them mascots, maybe it’s time to go dig out them old NCAA games and fire ’em up if you’re really missin’ that goofy fun. At least it won’t be too hard to find ’em if you still got that old console sittin’ around somewhere.
In the end, NCAA 25’s still got a lot of what folks like, even if the mascot fun is gone. Ain’t nothing that can replace the joy of stompin’ around in a mascot suit, but there’s plenty more to enjoy in this new game. So, I reckon you just gotta make do with what’s on the table now.
