Well, y’know, folks, we been hearin’ a lot ’bout them Kansas Jayhawks lately. They’ve been gettin’ ready for their football season, and let me tell ya, they got somethin’ special in the works. Just a couple weeks ago, they dropped some new uniforms, and I tell ya, they sure did stir up a whole heap of excitement.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but these uniforms sure are somethin’ to talk about. First off, they got these all-black ones they call “Blackhawk.” I reckon them boys will look fierce runnin’ around in them on the field come game time. If you ask me, black uniforms always look sharp—kinda tough, like they mean business. And it’s got a nice ring to it, don’t it? “Blackhawk.” Sounds like a team that’s ready to take on anyone!
It ain’t just football they got new threads for, though. No sir, they’re makin’ moves in basketball too. Recently, Kansas showed off a brand new white basketball uniform. Now, this ain’t just any uniform—it’s got that old “Circus” font that used to be popular. Some folks might say it’s a bit retro, but I say it’s a nice change. ‘Cause, let’s be honest, that old “Trajan” font they been usin’ just don’t hit right. Folks’ve been sayin’ it’s kinda boring, so I reckon they did the right thing bringin’ back that Circus font.
Now, what’s real interestin’ is that them uniforms weren’t just decided by the big wigs at the top. Nope, these uniforms were mostly pushed for by the players themselves. Head coach Lance Leipold said that the whole thing started with Kenny Logan, a senior safety on the team. Seems like Kenny and a few of the other players had a real hankerin’ for some black uniforms. And when the players speak up, well, you know them coaches listen. I guess them players wanted something that felt a little more fierce, something that would make ‘em stand out on the field. And, honestly, who could blame ‘em?
Now, when them uniforms were revealed on social media, the fans went wild! I reckon that’s how you know you done got somethin’ right. When the folks out there get all excited, you know you’re on the right track. And let me tell ya, Kansas fans were all over them posts. Some folks were talkin’ ‘bout how sharp them black ones looked, while others were excited about the return of that ol’ “Circus” font. People love a little nostalgia, don’t they? Makes ‘em think back to the good ol’ days.
So, folks, I reckon the Kansas Jayhawks are all set for a big season ahead. Whether it’s them black “Blackhawk” uniforms or the white basketball ones with the ol’ Circus font, you can bet them players are gonna be lookin’ sharp. And I’m sure the fans’ll be right behind ’em, cheerin’ ‘em on every step of the way. Whether they’re takin’ on Illinois or some other team, them Jayhawks will be lookin’ good doin’ it.
All in all, I’d say Kansas is doin’ the right thing here. A little change in the uniforms keeps things fresh, and when them players get a say in what they wear, it makes ‘em feel like they’re part of the team even more. So, here’s hopin’ them Jayhawks have a good season—maybe them new uniforms’ll give ‘em that extra bit of luck they need!
