Alright, let’s talk about this… this… “solo iii” thing. I ain’t no fancy tech person, ya know? I just like things that work. My grandkid got a pair, and I messed around with ’em a bit. So here’s the lowdown, the way I see it.
First off, what are these things anyway? Well, they’re headphones, see? Like those things you put on your ears to listen to music or whatever. Only these ones don’t got no wires, which is kinda neat, I guess. Less things to get tangled up in, that’s for sure. My yarn gets tangled enough, I don’t need more trouble.
Now, people are yappin’ about whether they still make ’em. Seems like nobody really knows for sure. Companies, they don’t always tell ya everything, do they? But look, if they work, they work. That’s all that matters to me. Doesn’t matter if they’re new or old, if they play the tunes, they play the tunes. Simple as that.
So, what’s the big deal about these headphones? Well, folks say they sound good. I listened to some ol’ country songs, and they sounded alright to me. Clear enough, not all scratchy like that old radio we used to have. And they’re loud! My grandkid listens to that… that… I don’t even know what you call it, noisy stuff, but it sounded powerful on these things.
- Sound: It sounds good, clear and loud.
- No Wires: That’s handy, no tangling.
- Battery: They say it lasts a long time, but I ain’t tested that myself.
They say the battery lasts a long, long time. Forty hours, they claim. That’s a lot of hours! More time than I spend awake in two days, I reckon. But like everything else, that battery won’t last forever. It’ll get weaker over time, just like my old knees. But these young folks, they’ll probably get a new pair before that happens anyway. They’re always wantin’ the latest thingamajigs.
Now, about them looking like the old “solo 2” ones? I wouldn’t know. They look like headphones to me. Round things that go over your ears. But they say these got some kinda fancy chip in ‘em. An Apple W1 chip, whatever that means. Makes ‘em work better, I guess. Sounds like more city-folk talk to me, but if it works, it works. And I like things that work.
I heard tell they might be comin’ out with new ones, some “solo 4” thing and little “solo buds” too. More money to spend, I suppose. But like I said, if the old ones work, why bother? That’s my philosophy. Don’t fix what ain’t broke, that’s what my old man always said. And he was a smart fella, even if he didn’t know nothin’ about these fancy headphones.
So, are they any good in 2024 or even 2025? Well, if you can find ‘em and they work, then sure, why not? If the price is right, that is. Don’t go payin’ a king’s ransom for ‘em. There are other headphones out there, I’m sure. But these ones, they seem to do the job just fine. And that’s good enough for me, and it should be good enough for you too.
They do feel a bit heavy on the head, though. Like wearin’ a couple of small melons on your ears. But then again, I’m used to wearin’ a sun bonnet, so what do I know about fashion?
Anyway, that’s my two cents. Take it or leave it. I ain’t no expert, just a plain ol’ woman tellin’ it like it is. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about headphones made me hungry.
