Well, let me tell you about this whole Lita and Edge thing. It was a real mess, you know, like a hen house after a fox got in. Lita and Matt Hardy, they was a thing, like bread and butter. Everybody saw it. They wrestled together, traveled together, did everything together.
Then Matt, poor fella, got himself hurt. Had to take time off, you see. Couldn’t wrestle, couldn’t do much of nothin’. And that’s when things went sour, like milk left out in the sun.
- Matt got hurt.
- Lita started traveling with Edge.
- Then, bam! They was together.
Now, Edge, he was married at the time. Yep, married! So, this wasn’t just some little fling. This was a whole heap of trouble. People got mad, real mad. Especially Matt, I reckon. Can’t blame him, can ya? It’s like your best friend stealin’ your prize-winning rooster.
Folks were talkin’, pointin’ fingers. Lita, she got a lot of heat. People called her names, said all sorts of nasty things. It was a real to-do. The whole wrestling world was buzzin’ like a beehive. Nobody could stop talkin’ about it.
Edge and Lita, they tried to make it work, you know. They was a couple on TV, too. Called themselves the “Rated R Superstar” thing. But it was always kinda… off. Like a wagon with a wobbly wheel. You just knew it wasn’t gonna last.
And it didn’t. They eventually broke up. All that drama, all that fuss, and for what? A broken heart and a whole lot of gossip. Lita, she ended up quittin’ wrestlin’ for a while. Probably needed a break from all the craziness. She’s done other things since then, you know, music and such. Seems happy enough now, livin’ her life, not married or nothin’. Good for her, I say.
Matt and Edge, they hated each other for a long time. Like cats and dogs. Wouldn’t even look at each other. But time heals all wounds, they say. And wouldn’t you know it, them two are friends again now. Imagine that! After all that happened. It just goes to show you, life’s a funny thing.
This whole Lita, Edge, and Matt Hardy story, it’s a reminder that things ain’t always what they seem. People make mistakes, hearts get broken, and sometimes, even the best of friends turn into enemies. But in the end, maybe, just maybe, folks can find a way to forgive and move on. That’s the way it should be, I reckon. No point in carryin’ around all that anger and bitterness. Life’s too short for that.
So, that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. A real soap opera, it was. And like all soap operas, it had its twists and turns, its villains and heroes, and its happy ever after, sort of. But that’s life, ain’t it? A whole heap of mess and a little bit of sunshine now and then.
I heard tell that the fans were real upset. They felt betrayed, like they’d been lied to. Some folks even stopped watching wrestling for a while. And that’s the thing about these wrestlers, they’re like family to some people. When something like this happens, it feels personal. It’s like finding out your favorite aunt eloped with the milkman. It’s just… shocking.
But like I said, time heals all wounds. And these days, it seems like everyone’s moved on. Matt’s doing his thing, Edge is doing his thing, and Lita, well, she’s off doing her own thing too. And that’s how it should be. No use cryin’ over spilt milk, as they say. Just gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on keepin’ on.
