Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Tyler Ekenberg. Don’t know much about fancy stuff, but I heard some things, seen some things, and I’ll tell ya like it is.
First off, they say this Tyler got a deep voice. Real deep, like one of them fellas on the radio. Heard it myself a time or two. Reminds me of old Mr. Johnson down the road, the one who used to holler at the cows. Except, you know, Tyler ain’t hollerin’ at cows, I reckon. He’s usin’ that voice for somethin’ else, maybe singin’ or somethin’. Folks seem to like it, this deep voice of his.
Now, I ain’t sure how he got famous, but they say he was on some kinda video thingy. One of them young folks’ apps, where they share videos. Like them TikToks my grandkids are always watchin’. Anyway, somebody heard that deep voice and went lookin’ for him. Can’t blame ’em, I guess. A voice like that, it sticks with ya.

Then there’s this “Igor” somethin’ or other. Sounds like a fella’s name to me. They say it’s an album, like one of them big records, but newfangled. And Tyler, he’s got somethin’ to do with it. Maybe he’s singin’ on it, maybe he made it, I ain’t quite sure. But they talk about “Igor’s Theme” and Tyler learnin’ somethin’ about somebody he likes. Sounds like a soap opera to me, all that drama. But folks seem to eat it up.
This “Igor” thing, it’s got songs. One of ’em’s called “I Think.” Folks are listenin’ to it, tryin’ to figure out what it all means. Like they do with them poetry books. Always lookin’ for hidden meanin’s. Me? I just listen to the music, if it sounds good, it sounds good. If it don’t, I turn it off. Simple as that.
Tyler Ekenberg’s deep voice seems important, that’s what I keep hearin’. They keep talkin’ about it. So, I guess it’s a big deal. And this “Igor” thing, it’s popular too. People are writin’ about it, talkin’ about it, listenin’ to it. Tyler must be doin’ somethin’ right, gettin’ all this attention.
Now, some folks wanna ask Tyler all sorts of questions, real deep questions, like that fella Nardwuar. Heard he asks some doozies. Wants to know everything about everybody. I guess they wanna know more about Tyler, where he comes from, what he thinks about. Fair enough, I reckon. If you like somebody’s work, you wanna know more about ’em.
And then there’s somethin’ about golf. Yeah, golf. That game where they hit a little ball with a stick. Seems Tyler used to play it in college, somethin’ called the University of North Alabama. Never heard of it, but I ain’t been to college, so what do I know? And now he’s doin’ somethin’ with wind and yardage, helpin’ them lady golfers on the TV. Fancy that. From deep voice to golf. Life’s funny that way, ain’t it?

Then there’s this “deep dive” thing. I guess people want to know everything about Tyler and not just the singing part, but all the other stuff too. Like where he grew up and all of that. It’s like they want to take a real long look at everything about him, like when you’re looking for somethin’ you dropped in a deep well and you keep searching and searching.
So, that’s what I know about Tyler Ekenberg. Deep voice, Igor, golf, and folks askin’ lots of questions. He sounds like a busy fella, doin’ all sorts of things. Hope he’s happy, doin’ what he loves. That’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it? Bein’ happy and doin’ what you’re good at. And if that deep voice of his makes folks happy, well, then that’s a good thing, I reckon.
Seems like Tyler Ekenberg’s voice is the thing that gets folks’ attention first. That and maybe his work with this “Igor” project and his golfin’ background. He’s got a lot goin’ on, that’s for sure. But that deep voice, that’s what they remember. Like a good cup of coffee on a cold mornin’, it wakes you up and gets your attention. And that, I guess, is why folks are talkin’ about him.
