Well, well, well, looky here! Today, I’m gonna talk about that Jordan fella, the basketball player, you know. Heard he was pretty good, jumpin’ around, throwin’ that ball in the hoop. They say he won a bunch of those Finals things. I don’t know much about basketball, but I know he was famous. Everybody talkin’ about him back in the day.
So, this Jordan guy, he played for the Chicago Bulls, right? Red and black team. I remember seein’ them on the TV sometimes. He played against a lot of other teams in those Finals. Beatin’ ’em, I guess. That’s what they say, anyway.
One of those teams was called the Lakers. Yeah, the Lakers in ’91. They must have been somethin’ else. I heard folks sayin’ they were a tough bunch. But Jordan, that fella, he just went and beat ’em. Just like that. He must’ve been somethin’ special, huh?
Then there was this other team, the Jazz. They played ’em twice, in ’97 and ’98. Jordan beat the Jazz both times. Two years in a row! Imagine that! They must have been heartbroken. But that’s the way it goes, I guess. You win some, you lose some. This Jordan guy, he sure did a lot of winnin’.
Oh, and the Suns! Yeah, the Phoenix Suns in ’93. They were another team that Jordan beat. He was just too good, I suppose. He jump so high and run so fast. Those Suns players, they couldn’t keep up. Nobody could keep up with Jordan, it seems.
And the Sonics, don’t forget the Sonics. ’96, that was the year. Jordan and his Bulls, they went up against the Sonics, and guess what? They won again! That’s six times he won those Finals now. Six! That’s more than most folks win anything in their whole life.
I tell ya, that Jordan was somethin’ else. They don’t make ’em like that anymore. He was a big deal, that’s for sure. Everyone wanted to be like Jordan. Kids all over, trying to play basketball just like him. He was on TV all the time. He even got his own shoes! Can you believe that? Shoes with his name on ’em!
Some folks say there’s another fella now, James, who’s just as good. Maybe even better. I don’t know about all that. He got some rings, too, I guess. But Jordan, he got six of ’em. And he beat all those teams I told you about. The teams Jordan beat in the Finals were tough, but he was tougher. He lead the point, you know. 30.1 to 27.1. That’s a big number, ain’t it?
This Jordan, he was a big star. He made basketball popular, they say. All over the world! People who never even cared about basketball before, they were watchin’ it because of him. He was more than just a basketball player, you know. He was a big shot.

He was like those movie stars, or those singers everyone loves. But he played basketball. Six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls! He makes basketball and NBA very popular. Even I watched some games because of him!
Rebounds, what is that? He is better than James, 6.2 to 7.5. Assists, he got 5.3, James got 7.4, I don’t know what that means. Those young folks talk about field goal percentages, 50.5 to 49.7. He is better, I guess. He must be really good, right?
Anyway, that’s all I know about that Jordan fella. He was a good basketball player, that’s for sure. He beat a lot of teams. He won a lot of those Finals. He was a big star. And he had those shoes! Don’t forget about the shoes. He is the best one, I think. Those young folks can talk about James, but I still think Jordan is the best. He is a icon. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds good. I am too old to play basketball now, but that Jordan makes me want to try. Well, maybe not. I might break my hip.
