Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this “Monster Hunter Now” game, and let me tell you, figuring out these weapon controls was a bit of a journey. I jumped right in, eager to start bashing some monsters, and the game just throws you in with a Sword and Shield. I’m tapping away, trying to figure things out, and it’s not exactly intuitive at first.
But then I started poking around the menus. You gotta hit that “Start” button, and then there are these tabs. The one you want is the “Info” tab, which is the third, in the middle. There, I found something called “Hunter’s Notes.” Clicking on that opened up a whole bunch of stuff about monsters, the environment, and, finally, weapon controls. There were lists of these basic movements and stuff that were pretty helpful to learn.
Then I wanted to switch things up, try out different weapons. That was another little quest. You actually have to click on your current weapon, on the right side of the screen next to your little character profile. That brings up a list of all the other weapons you can use. I clicked on the Lance, because why not? A totally different moveset! I feel it has a strong shield and can attack precisely.
So here’s the deal with the controls. Most of what I did was using a gamepad. I’m not sure about touch controls, since I didn’t really mess with those. But with the DualSense, there’s a lot going on. There’s basic movement, different attacks, and the game will give you some special moves. These weapons have different attack speeds, ranges, and just feel totally different.
- Started the game with a default Sword and Shield.
- Navigated to the “Info” tab in the menu, then “Hunter’s Notes”.
- Found weapon control details within “Hunter’s Notes”.
- Switched weapons by clicking on the equipped weapon icon next to the profile.
- Experimented with different weapons like the Lance.
- Noticed weapons have unique attack speeds, damage outputs, and utilities.
It took a bit of practice, and honestly, I’m still getting the hang of it. But that’s part of the fun, right? Figuring out the best way to use each weapon, how to dodge, when to attack, it’s all a learning process. There are so many weapons at our disposal. I feel that this game has a lot to learn and to practice. And I’m definitely going to keep playing around with different weapons to see what fits my style.
I’ll be back to update you with my latest finds after learning more, I need to do more practice!
