Okay, so today I wanna talk about my little journey building a “genshin tier” list. It all started when I stumbled upon this game, Genshin Impact. I saw some people talking about it online – something about a “massive, gorgeous map” and being an “open-world action RPG” from a company called HoYoverse. Sounds cool, right?
So, I downloaded the game and started playing. After sinking some serious hours into it, I found myself getting kinda competitive. You know, wanting the best characters and all that jazz. That’s when I decided to make my own tier list. I mean, there were tons out there already, but I wanted to do it my way, based on my own experience.
First, I listed out all the characters I had unlocked and played with. Then, I started ranking them based on a bunch of things like how much damage they dealt, how well they could take a hit, and how useful they were in different situations. It was a lot of trial and error, I won’t lie. I spent hours just running around, fighting monsters, and trying out different team combinations.
My character list:
- Diluc – Man, this guy is a beast. Definitely an S-tier for me.
- Venti – Super useful for crowd control. Another S-tier.
- Qiqi – Best healer in the game, hands down. A-tier, maybe even S.
- Keqing – Fast and deadly. Solid A-tier.
- Fischl – Great for support, especially with her Oz. I’d say B-tier.
- Barbara – Decent healer, but not as good as Qiqi. C-tier.
- Xiangling – Her Guoba is kinda unpredictable. C-tier.
- Noelle – Tanky, but her damage is kinda meh. C-tier.
- Traveler – They’re okay, I guess. They are free, B-tier for me.
After a while, I finally had a rough draft of my tier list. I shared it with some friends who also played the game, and we had some pretty heated debates. It was fun, though! We went back and forth, arguing about which character was better and why.
Then I thought, hey, why not share this online? So, I posted my tier list on a few forums and subreddits. And let me tell you, people had OPINIONS. I got a lot of feedback, both good and bad. Some people agreed with my rankings, while others thought I was completely wrong. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I learned a lot from the discussions.
I even went back and revised my tier list a few times based on the feedback I got. It was a whole process, man. But in the end, I felt pretty good about what I had created. It wasn’t perfect, of course, and I’m sure people will still disagree with it. But that’s the beauty of it, right? Everyone has their own playstyle and preferences.
So yeah, that’s the story of how I built my Genshin Impact tier list. It was a fun, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately rewarding experience. If you’re thinking about making your own tier list, I say go for it! Just be prepared for some strong opinions and be open to changing your mind. And most importantly, have fun with it!
