Okay, so I’ve been messing around with fantasy football for a while now, and this year, I decided to really dive into the whole team-naming thing. I mean, who doesn’t love a good pun, right? And with Aaron Rodgers being such a big name, especially with his move to the Jets, I figured he’d be the perfect inspiration.
First, I started brainstorming. I just jotted down any phrase or word that came to mind when I thought about Rodgers. I ended up with a messy list of stuff – “cheeseheads,” “discount double-check,” “New York,” you name it. It was kind of chaotic, but it was a start. I love making lists, especially when I can cross things off as I go. Feels productive, you know?
Then, I hit up the internet. I just googled “Aaron Rodgers fantasy football team names” and, boy, did I find a goldmine. There were tons of articles and forum threads with some seriously clever (and some not-so-clever) names. I started copying the ones I liked into a separate document. I had a good laugh at some of these – people are really creative!
After that, I started mixing and matching words and phrases from my original list and the ones I found online. I wanted something that was both funny and relevant. This took longer than I expected. I was trying to be too clever, I think. At one point, I had like five different versions of the same name. It was getting ridiculous. And the more funny, the more I got confused, honestly.
I decided to take a break and came back to it later with fresh eyes. And guess what? The simplest name I had come up with was actually the best. I went with “Rodgers That.” It’s short, it’s sweet, and it’s got that little bit of attitude. Plus, it’s easy to remember.
