Alright, so today I wanted to mess around with this thing called “Aram Cup League”. First off, I gotta say, I had no idea what this was about. I just heard some folks talking about it online and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” So, I started by digging around to figure out what I needed to get started.
First thing I did was make sure my League of Legends client was up to date. You know how it is, you gotta keep those things patched or you’ll miss out on all the new stuff. After making sure that was good to go, I started looking for where to sign up for this Aram Cup thing. Turns out, it’s all managed in the game client itself, which is pretty convenient.
Next, I had to create a team. I rounded up some of my buddies that I usually play with, and we formed a team. Naming the team was the real challenge – ended up going with something silly, as always. Once the team was set, I had to register us for the tournament. It was pretty straightforward, just a few clicks in the Clash tab of the client.
Then came the waiting game. We had to wait for the tournament day to actually start. When the day finally arrived, we all hopped online, ready to go. The client has this whole system set up where you gotta lock in your team before the tournament starts. It’s kinda like a final “Are you sure you’re ready?” moment. We locked in, and then the client showed us our bracket and who we were up against.
- Phase 1: Scouting
Before each match, there’s this scouting phase. Basically, you get to see some stats about the other team – their most played champions, their win rates, that sort of thing. We used this time to come up with a rough strategy, like which champions to ban and who on our team should play what.
- Phase 2: Champ Select
Champ select in Aram Cup is a bit different from normal games. It’s still random, but you get to ban some champions first, which adds a whole new layer of strategy. We tried our best to ban the champs that we saw the other team was really good at during the scouting phase. Then, it was the usual random champion selection. You get what you get, and you gotta make it work.
- Phase 3: The Game
Playing the matches was a blast. Since it’s a tournament, everyone’s taking it a bit more seriously than usual, which makes the games more intense. We won some, we lost some. Each game was a learning experience, figuring out what worked and what didn’t with our team comps and strategies.
Wrapping Up
After all the matches were done, we didn’t win the whole thing, but we still had a ton of fun. The Aram Cup is a cool way to experience a more competitive side of League without it being too serious. Plus, you get some rewards for participating, like icons and other goodies, which is a nice bonus.
Overall, it was a good time. If you’re into League and you’ve got some friends to play with, I’d definitely recommend checking out the Aram Cup. It’s a fun way to spend a few hours, and who knows, maybe you’ll even win some games!
