Okay, so I saw this “pam oliver drunk” thing trending and figured, why not give it a shot? I mean, I like a good cooking show, and I definitely enjoy a drink now and then. Seemed like a fun experiment, Combining the Two!

First, I gathered my materials. I Got a bottle of decent red wine (nothing too fancy, since, it was going to mixed it ), some basic cooking ingredients like olive oil, garlic, onions, and some pasta, because that always sounds like a great option.
- One Bottle of red wine
- Olive oil
- Garlic
- Pasta
I started by pouring myself a healthy glass of wine. Gotta get into the “drunk” part of the equation, right? Then, I put on some music, and I started chopping. Onions first, because those always take the longest. Got a little teary-eyed, but blamed it on the emotions of cooking and wine, hah!
The Cooking Begin
Next up, garlic. I love garlic, so I used a generous amount, and minced it up real fine. Threw the onions and garlic into a pan with some olive oil and let them sizzle away. The kitchen started to smell pretty good, even if I do say so myself.
A few more sips of wine, and I decided it was pasta time. I put a big pot of water on to boil and dumped in a box of spaghetti. While that was cooking, I started on a super simple sauce. Just some canned tomatoes, a bit of the wine (because, why not?), some salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
By this point, I was definitely feeling the wine. My singing-along-to-the-music skills were probably getting worse, but my cooking confidence was way up! I drained the pasta, tossed it with the sauce, and sprinkled on some cheese. Boom. Dinner (or a late-night snack, depending on how you look at it) was served.

The verdict? The pasta was actually pretty good! Maybe a little overcooked, and the sauce was a bit… enthusiastic, But hey, it was edible, and I had a blast making it. Would I recommend cooking while tipsy? Maybe not for a fancy dinner party, but for a solo adventure in the kitchen? Absolutely. Just be careful with those knives!
