Okay, so I’ve been hyped for “Black Myth: Wukong” for, like, forever. When I saw they were finally doing pre-orders for physical copies, I knew I had to jump on it. Figured I’d share my whole experience, ’cause it was a bit of a rollercoaster, and maybe it’ll help someone else out.
The Hunt Begins
First thing, I started scouring the internet. I mean, everywhere. The official website was a no-brainer, but I also checked all the usual suspects: major retailers, some smaller game shops I know, even some forums where people were talking about potential import options. It was total chaos, honestly. Information was all over the place, with some places saying pre-orders were sold out, others listing different release dates… you name it.
Dead Ends and False Alarms
I hit a bunch of dead ends. Some sites had placeholder pages, but no actual way to pre-order. Others looked promising, then I’d get to checkout and… bam! “Out of stock.” Or, even worse, the dreaded “This item does not ship to your region” message. I swear, I nearly threw my laptop across the room a couple of times. It was super frustrating.
Finding a Glimmer of Hope
After what felt like hours of searching, I finally stumbled upon a retailer. They had it listed! And, miracle of miracles, it looked like pre-orders were still open. I didn’t even hesitate. I added it to my cart so fast, my fingers were a blur.
The Checkout Gauntlet
Checkout was its own little adventure. Double-checked the edition, the shipping address, all that jazz. Made sure I was getting the right version, with all the goodies I wanted. Then came the payment. My heart was pounding, I’m not gonna lie. It felt like one of those online shopping moments where everything could go wrong at the last second.
Success! (I Think?)
But… it went through! I got a confirmation screen, an order number, and everything. I even got a follow-up email. I think I actually did it. I’m still a little in disbelief, to be honest. It felt like such a mission to get to this point.
The Waiting Game
So, now I’m in waiting mode. It’s pre-ordered, but who knows when it’ll actually ship. All i know is my determination paid off. Hopefully, this whole saga helps somebody. Good luck, fellow gamers!
