Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the Lakers’ roster lately, trying to figure out how good their chances are this season. It all started when I was watching a game the other night and just kept thinking, “Man, they’ve got a lot of new faces!”

So, I started by just listing out all the players. You know, the obvious ones like LeBron and AD, but then all the new guys they picked up. It was a longer list than I expected!
Digging into the Players
Then I went player by player, checking out their stats from last season. I looked at things like points per game, rebounds, assists – the usual stuff. I also tried to find some info on their playing styles. Are they a good shooter? A strong defender? That kind of thing.
It was a bit of a mess at first, just scribbling notes on a piece of paper. Then I decided to get a little more organized. I made a simple table:
- Player Name
- Position
- Key Stats
- Notes (Playing Style)
I started filling it in, going through each player. It took a while, and I had to jump around between different websites to get all the info, but slowly but surely, I built a pretty good picture of each guy.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the players profiled, I started thinking about how they’d fit together on the court. Who would start? Who would come off the bench? What kind of lineups could they run?

I’m no expert coach, but it was fun to try and imagine different combinations. I even sketched out a few potential lineups on that same piece of paper (it’s pretty messy now!).
My main focus was on the supporting players, the depth behind Davis and James. Seeing their stats and experience really helped me understand their potential.
It took a good chunk of my evening, but by the end, I felt like I had a much better handle on the Lakers’ depth. It’s definitely looking stronger than I initially thought! Still a lot of basketball to be played, but it was a cool little project to get me hyped for the season.
