Okay, so I’ve been messing around with comparing quarterbacks, specifically Daniel Jones and Trevor Lawrence. It’s something I’ve been curious about, and I finally decided to dive in and see what I could find.
First, I started by just gathering some basic stats. You know, the usual stuff like passing yards, touchdowns, interceptions, completion percentage – all that jazz. I just wanted a general overview to start with.
Initial Research
- Pulled up their career stats from a few different websites. Just to make sure I wasn’t getting bad data from one source.
- Jotted down some notes on their overall performance. Nothing too deep, just first impressions.
Then, I decided to get a little more specific. I started looking at things like their performance in different situations. Like, how do they do under pressure? How about on third down? Stuff like that.
Digging Deeper
This part took a little longer. I had to find some more detailed stats, and figure out how to compare them in a way that made sense. I even ended up watching some game highlights to get a better feel for how they play.
- Figured out what stats seemed most important. It’s easy to get lost in all the numbers.
- Compared them side-by-side. Made it easier to see the differences.
Finally, I put everything together and tried to draw some conclusions. It’s not like I’m an expert or anything, but it was interesting to see what the numbers showed. and it feels like there is still so much to find and discover
It was a fun little project, and I definitely learned a few things along the way.
