So, I got curious the other day. I was watching some old Masters highlights, and it got me thinking: I wonder how many pars were actually made in the 2023 Masters? Seems like a simple enough question, right? Wrong!
First, I did what anyone would do – I hit up Google. I typed in “how many pars made in 2023 masters”. I figured, someone’s gotta have this stat just laying around. Nope. I got a bunch of articles about the winners, scores, and general tournament stuff, but nothing about the total number of pars.
I tried a few different searches. “2023 Masters total pars”, “Masters 2023 par statistics”…still nothing. Seriously? Nobody tracks this?
Digging Deeper
Okay, time to get a little more creative. I figured I’d search on 2023 masters official website. I clicked around for, like, 20 minutes. It’s got all sorts of info, player profiles, course details… I found some detailed stats, but they were all about individual players, not the whole tournament.
I am so confused and I want to know how many pars were made in 2023 masters.I even tried to look for * nothing.
The Manual Approach (Ugh)
At this point, I was starting to feel defeated. Was I really going to have to do this the hard way? It looked like it.
I couldn’t find a direct answer anywhere. So, I thought that It would be cool to just find some info of every player’s scorecards. Then I stared to count.
It took a little while, but I finally added everything up. It was, to be honest, a bigger pain than I expected.
