Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at predicting football match outcomes. It’s tough, but I’m logging my process to hopefully improve. Today, I tackled the Bristol City vs. Leicester City game.

First, I looked at the recent performance of both teams. It’s pretty clear Leicester is on a roll, while Bristol City, well, not so much. That’s a big starting point.
Digging into the Data
- I checked out some recent match results. Head-to-head records, goals scored, goals conceded… the basic stuff. I always find keeping track of the wins and losses is important.
- Then, I quickly reviewed the any team news.
Based on what I saw, Leicester seemed much stronger in their attacking. Bristol City, struggling. Put that all into the mix, you know?
Making the Prediction
I went with my gut, but also used the numbers I saw. I predicted a Leicester City win, but it felt like it wouldn’t be a blowout. Bristol City might sneak in a goal, but Leicester’s stronger attack would probably see them through.
So, my final prediction was Bristol City 1, Leicester City 2.
Also based on my numbers, I predicted that the total goals would be over 2.5

Let’s see if I’m right!
