Okay, so I was super curious about how many pars were made at the 2023 Masters. I mean, we always hear about the birdies and eagles, but what about the good ol’ par? So, I started digging.

My Little Investigation
First, I hit up the official Masters website. I figured they’d have all the stats, right? I poked around a bit, but honestly, it wasn’t super easy to find a simple, total number of pars.
Then I tried some golf news sites. They had tons of articles about the tournament, but most were focused on the winners and the exciting shots, not the plain old pars. I was starting to think this was going to be harder than I thought!
I even went down a bit of a rabbit hole, looking at individual player scorecards. But, man, adding all those up myself? No thanks, that’s a whole lotta work!
Finally,I got an idea! I can try to find a website that can tell me all the players’ scores and I’ll just try to get them all!
- Checked player scorecards.
- Count manually.
After I found all the players’ scores and rounds, I start to sum them all, and I got the final answer, it’s a tough job!
