Okay, so today I decided to dive into the 76ers injury report. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do, especially with the season heating up. I figured, why not track it and see if I can make sense of it all?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a reliable source. You know, gotta make sure the info is legit. I bounced around a few different sports news sites, the usual suspects. Settled on one that seemed pretty up-to-date and easy to navigate. No need to make this harder than it has to be, right?
Collecting the Data
Next, I started grabbing the actual injury reports. I decided to go back a few weeks, just to get a good chunk of data to work with. I basically just copy-pasted the info into a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just names, injuries, and dates. My trusty spreadsheet, always there for me.
- Column 1: Player Name (pretty self-explanatory)
- Column 2: Injury (e.g., “sprained ankle,” “sore knee,” you get the idea)
- Column 3: Date of Report (when the injury was reported or updated)
- Column 4: Status,Game-time Decision or other.
Making Sense of It
Now came the fun part – trying to see if there were any patterns. I looked at things like:
- Which players get injured most often?
- What types of injuries are most common?
- Are there any stretches of time with a lot of injuries?
I played around with sorting the data by date, by player, and by injury type.
I started to notice. Just eyeballing it, you could see who was consistently on the report, and what kind of nagging injuries kept popping up.

My conclusion
So, yeah, that’s pretty much my process. It’s not rocket science, I’m just a regular dude with a spreadsheet, but it’s cool to see how you can take some raw data and actually learn something from it. I might keep this up and see if I can track the injuries over the rest of the season. Maybe I’ll even find some interesting trends!
