Okay, guys, so I finally got around to messing with the Sunpoint Plasma Drill in Warframe. Here’s how it went down:
First off, I needed to actually get the thing. I remembered you get it from Fortuna, so I headed over there. I talked to Legs, and sure enough, he had it. I think it’s reputation based, you need to be rank up, to unlock the drill.
Getting Started
I already had max rank with Solaris United, so that wasn’t a problem, I bought it with standing, a small amount of credits.
Mining Time
Once I equipped the drill, it was time to find some ore. I just flew around the Orb Vallis looking for those little mining spots – you know, the ones that show up on the minimap with red or blue marks.
- Finding Veins: This part was pretty easy, use archwing fly around tell you find the spots.
- Using the Drill: I aimed the drill at the glowing spots on the ore vein and held down the fire button.
- The Minigame:I found the little line, and try to put the line in the white area, then release button.
Result
I managed to refine a few different gems and *’s pretty satisfying to see all the loot pop out!
It seems I can get rare gems easily use this drill, I am going to try more times to find out what I can get. Pretty cool, right?
