Alright, so you wanna know about this Mike Shildt fella and his wife, huh? Okay, okay, lemme tell ya what I know. It ain’t much, but it’s somethin’.
Mike Shildt, that baseball manager guy, yeah, he’s got himself a wife. Name’s Michelle. Michelle somethin’ or other… Segrave, I think they said. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They got hitched not too long ago, back in March of 2020. Right when all that crazy virus stuff started, remember? Well, they went and got married anyway. Good for them, I guess.
Now, this Mike fella, he’s a big deal in baseball, see? He’s the manager for the San Diego Padres. That’s a fancy team, I reckon. They pay him good money, I bet. And they just gave him a new contract, too. Said it’s good ’til 2027. That’s a long time, ain’t it? Means he must be doin’ somethin’ right.
They hired him back in November of 2023, gave him a two-year deal then. But the team did pretty good this year, won a bunch of games. Came in second, they did. Not bad, not bad at all. So, they figured they’d keep him around a while longer, I s’pose.

I heard some folks callin’ her Michelle Lee Shildt too. Maybe she goes by a couple different names, ya know, like some folks do. Anyway, she’s his “better half,” they say. That’s what them fancy folks call a wife, I guess. He’s a “third base mentor” too, whatever that means. Sounds important, though.
People are always curious about these things, ain’t they? Wantin’ to know all about who’s married to who and what they’re doin’. Me, I’m just happy if my chickens lay eggs and the garden grows. But I guess it’s nice to hear about folks bein’ happy, even if they are fancy baseball people.
