Let me tell you about this guy, Jason Jordan. Man, what a ride it’s been following his story.
So, I first heard about him when he signed with WWE back in 2011. It was kind of a big deal because, apparently, he’d already had a try-out the year before and got offered a spot then. He jumped right into their developmental thing, NXT, which, you know, is where they train up the new guys.
He started tagging with this guy, and they did their thing in NXT for a while. I watched them climb up the ranks, getting moved up to SmackDown. Good stuff, felt like they were really going somewhere as a team. But then, bam! Jordan got switched over to Raw on July 17, and that was it for the team. Kinda sudden, if you ask me.

Then things got a bit rocky. Turns out, he got hurt pretty bad – a neck injury. That’s tough. I mean, this guy was in the middle of a storyline, and then he had to take a step back. And it wasn’t just a short break. It ended up ending his in-ring career. Just like that. It’s a real shame when something like that happens.
But, you know, he didn’t just disappear. He started working as a producer for WWE. It’s like, even though he couldn’t wrestle anymore, he found a way to stay involved, you know? I remember seeing him pop up on an episode of SmackDown in 2020. It had been a couple of years since we’d seen him on TV. He was just there with some cops, part of a storyline with Jeff Hardy, but it was still cool to see him.
A Producer for WWE
Now, from what I hear, he’s still a producer, and he’s pretty tight with his old tag team partner, Chad Gable. Gable talks about him like he’s one of his best friends. They really bonded during their time together. And apparently, they think alike, which is probably why Gable likes it when Jordan’s name is on the producer sheet for his matches.
It’s a bit of a sad story, with the injury and all, but it’s also kind of inspiring. He took a bad situation and turned it into something else. Now he’s helping shape the show from behind the scenes. There have been other wrestlers, like Daniel Bryan, Edge, and Paige, who came back after being told they’d never wrestle again. But with a neck injury, it sounds like Jordan is done in the ring for good. Still, he’s made a new path for himself, and that’s something, right?
