Okay, let’s talk about my recent adventure in Sea of Thieves. I was trying to hunt down the infamous ghost meg, also known as the Shrouded Ghost. Man, what a pain in the ass that was!
First off, I jumped into the game and set sail. I remembered reading somewhere that someone spotted the Shrouded Ghost heading northeast from Mermaid’s Hideaway. “Alright,” I thought, “let’s start there.”
Preparation is Key
Before going too far, I made sure my ship, a trusty sloop, was stocked up. I gathered a good amount of cannonballs because I heard it takes around 10-13 hits to take down a regular Megalodon. I figured the ghost meg would be tougher, so better safe than sorry, right?
The Hunt Begins
I sailed around Mermaid’s Hideaway for what felt like forever. I was starting to doubt if this ghost meg even existed. I mean, some people say it’s super rare, like winning the lottery but without the money. But then, after about two hours in-game, I saw it. A massive, pale, ghostly shark fin in the distance.
The Battle Commences
My heart started racing. This was it! I aimed my cannons and started firing. I remembered a tip I read: if you hit the meg with enough cannonballs (around 5 or 6) while it’s charging for a bite, it’ll swim under your boat instead of attacking. So, I kept blasting away, trying to time my shots just right.
- First Hit: I landed a good hit as it approached. It roared but kept coming.
- Second and Third Hits: I managed to get two more shots in quick succession. It seemed to slow down a bit.
- Fourth and Fifth Hits: These were crucial. I aimed carefully and fired just as it opened its huge mouth.
The meg turned away and swam under my sloop! Success! I kept firing as it circled, landing a few more hits. After what seemed like an eternity, and about 15 cannonballs later, the beast finally went down.
Victory, But at What Cost?
I had done it. I defeated the Shrouded Ghost. There were no special drops, just the usual meg loot, but the thrill of the hunt was incredible. Although, I did spend hours, and I mean HOURS, just sailing around. Was it worth it? Maybe. Would I do it again? Probably not anytime soon.
So, that’s my story about hunting the ghost meg in Sea of Thieves. It was a long, tedious, and at times frustrating adventure, but hey, at least I have a cool story to tell, right?
