Okay, so the other day, I was scrolling through my phone, and I saw this question pop up online that got me thinking. People were talking about Tim Duncan, yeah, the basketball legend. And they were asking, “Is Tim Duncan bisexual?” I mean, it’s not every day you see that kind of question about a sports star.
So, I got curious and did what any of us would do – I started digging around. First thing I did was check out who he’s been with. Found out that Duncan used to be married to a woman named Amy Sherrill. Apparently, they met way back in college at Wake Forest and were together for a good while, like, from 1990s until they split up in 2013. They even have two kids together. That’s a long time to be with someone, right?
Then, I looked into what he’s been up to since the divorce. Learned that he’s now dating this TV person, Vanessa Macias. She’s been on “The Amazing Race” and is a TV host. They’ve been together since around 2013, and they even have a daughter together. So, he’s clearly been in a committed relationship with her for a while now.
But here’s where it gets interesting. I stumbled upon this post saying that Duncan once jokingly said he is “Bisexual” at an interview. It was during a conversation about teammates Danny Green. Some people took it seriously and he is an advocate for the American Bisexual Congregation or something like that.
Then I find another post and it says: “The biggest problem with Joe Rogan is he sometimes gives a pretty huge platform to some genuinely troubling people. Maybe having such a large audience listen to an hours long …Tags:Danny GreenTim Duncan.” I did not understand the point of this post but I think it is saying that Tim being Bisexual is a troubling thing?
- Checked who Tim Duncan has been with.
- Found out he was married to Amy Sherrill from college until 2013.
- Discovered he’s been dating Vanessa Macias, a TV personality, since around 2013.
- Read an article where Duncan referred to himself as “bisexual” in jest during an interview.
- Found a post criticizing Joe Rogan for potentially giving a platform to troubling views, mentioning Tim Duncan.
So, yeah, that’s what I found out about Tim Duncan. It’s interesting how one question online can lead you down such a rabbit hole. Makes you think about how much we really know about people, even famous ones. Who knows what’s true and what’s not? But it was a fun little investigation, anyway.
