Today, I wanted to mess around with something I’ve been meaning to try for a while: making some cool trails in that game, Genshin Impact. You know, those neat visual effects when characters move or attack? I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a ride.
Getting Started
First off, I booted up the game and picked a character to test with. I figured a character with some flashy moves would be perfect for this. Once I was in the game, I started exploring different areas. I wanted a nice backdrop for my trail experiments. The scenery in this game is a big deal.
Experimenting with Movement
Once I had my setting, I started experimenting. I tried running, jumping, dashing—you name it. The goal was to see how the game’s built-in effects looked in different scenarios. I noticed that each character has their own unique style of movement, which can affect how the trails appear.
- Running around: The basic running animation didn’t produce much of a trail, but it was a good starting point.
- Dashing: This is where things got interesting. Dashing created a more noticeable trail, especially with characters who have elemental abilities.
- Special moves: Some characters have special moves that create really cool trails. I spent a lot of time just triggering these moves to see the different effects.
Trying out different areas
After that, I thought it might be cool to switch locations. I teleported to a bunch of different spots, like near waterfalls, up on mountains, and even in some of those ancient ruins you find scattered around. Each place gave the trails a different vibe, you know?
Finding chests
While I was running around testing these trails, I came across some of those treasure chests they have in the game. I opened a couple of them, thinking it might give me some new items to play with. I mean, who doesn’t like finding treasure, right?
Wrapping up
All in all, it was a fun little experiment. I didn’t really create any custom trails, but messing around with the game’s built-in effects was a blast. It’s pretty cool to see how much detail they put into the movement and effects for each character. Plus, running around in different environments really makes you appreciate how big and beautiful the game world is. I’ll probably do this again sometime, maybe try to record some videos of the best-looking trails.
Anyway, that’s all for today’s little adventure. It was nice to just chill and play around without worrying too much about quests or battles.
