Okay, so I wanted to get that “Dakota Kai at SummerSlam” look, you know? I’m a big fan, and I thought it would be fun to try and recreate her style for, you know, just hanging out, maybe a casual get-together.
Getting Started
First, I gathered some reference pictures. I just googled “Dakota Kai Summerslam” and saved a bunch of images to my phone. It’s crucial to see what she actually wore, not just what I remembered her wearing, you dig?
The Outfit Breakdown
- Top: She had on this black, like, sporty crop top thing. Looked simple enough.
- Bottoms: Black shorts, I think they were kinda high-waisted. Nothing fancy.
- Shoes: Those signature black boots she always rocks. I don’t own any exactly like hers, but I have a pair of black combat-style boots that are kinda similar.
- Accessories: I noticed she had on some wristbands, and maybe a choker?
My Process
First, I dug through my closet. I already owned a black crop top that was fairly close. Score!
Next, the shorts. I have a few pairs of black shorts, but finding ones that were the right vibe was a bit harder. I settled on a pair that were plain black, no crazy designs or anything.
Boots were easy. Like I said, I don’t have her exact ones, but my black combat boots worked fine. I put those on.
Then, it was time for the accessories. I found some black wristbands. I didn’t have a perfect choker, but I did have a simple black ribbon that I tied around my neck. Close enough, right?
The Hair & Makeup
I think what make it perfect is the hair and makeup, I tried to do my hair, that need to be straight and sleek.
For makeup I tried to do smokey eyes, and I think I nailed it.
The Final Result
I threw everything on and checked myself out in the mirror. Honestly? I thought it looked pretty good! It wasn’t a perfect replica, obviously, but it definitely captured the Dakota Kai energy. I felt pretty badass, not gonna lie.
It was a fun little experiment. I wouldn’t wear it to, like, the grocery store or anything, but for a casual hangout with friends, or even just for feeling cool around the house? Yeah, I’d totally do it again.
