Okay, here’s my take on sharing my journey figuring out Coco Gauff’s shoe size, blogging style:
Alright guys, so the other day I got into this whole rabbit hole of trying to figure out Coco Gauff’s shoe size. Don’t ask me why, sometimes my brain just latches onto random stuff. But hey, it turned into a bit of a project, so I thought I’d share the process.
It all started with me seeing her crush it on the court, and I was like, “Man, those New Balance shoes look comfy!” Then the next thing I knew, I was googling everything about her gear.
First thing I did? Standard Google search: “Coco Gauff shoe size”. Obviously. A bunch of articles came up, mostly talking about her endorsement deal with New Balance and some mentioning her shoe model (the Coco CG1), but nobody straight-up saying her size! Annoying.
So then I figured, maybe shoe reviews might have the answer. I started digging through reviews of the Coco CG1. Some reviewers mentioned the fit being true to size, but again, didn’t explicitly say what size Coco herself wears.
Next up, I tried to find interviews where she might have mentioned it. I watched a couple of YouTube interviews, hoping for a slip-up, you know? Like, “Yeah, these size 8s are perfect for the court.” No such luck. These athletes are too media trained; they don’t give up that kind of info!
Okay, time to get a little more creative. I remembered seeing some photos of her next to other female tennis players, who’s shoe size I knew. I tried to compare her foot size in those photos. I found a pic of her with Iga Swiatek. Iga’s apparently a US size 8. Eye-balling it, Coco’s feet looked a bit bigger. Maybe an 8.5 or even a 9?
But photos can be deceiving with angles and all. This was getting frustrating. I figured I had one last shot. Social media stalking! I scrolled through her Instagram, hoping to catch a glimpse of a shoe box or something. I even checked her tagged photos, thinking maybe a fan got a picture with her shoes. Nada. Total dead end.
So, after all that, did I find a definitive answer? Nope. I’m still guessing she is a size 8.5 or 9. The mystery remains! It was a fun little internet adventure though. Maybe one day she’ll do a shoe size reveal for her fans!
